Denver - Mile High City

Have you ever visited Denver? If not, check out the Denver, Colorado area. Denver is the largest city in Colorado, as well as the capital. It offers everything you could want in a city while being close enough to the mountains for you to spend weekends skiing, hiking and bicycling. The climate is quite temperate. And don?t let the snow scare you! It?s not as bad as places farther north.

Denver has a thriving arts and cultural community. It offers the Denver Art Museum, which attracts national high caliber exhibits. Denver Center for the performing arts brings some of the best performance art to its stage, including national and even international performances, such as Stomp, Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, Dame Edna and more. The Denver Zoo is one of the best in the nation. See the Denver Aquarium and the Museum of Science and Nature while you?re here.

I like to browse bookstores. Tattered Cover has two great locations, one in Cherry Creek and the other downtown. Both have excellent cafes where you can read and people watch all afternoon.

Sports are big in Denver, too. Of course, there are the Broncos for football action. Everyone loves the Broncos! Then there are the Rockies for baseball and the Avalanche for hockey or the Colorado Rapids for soccer. The Nuggets are the Denver basketball team. In Denver, you?re never lacking for sports.

If you?re relocating to Denver, there is a good job market. Especially, check the Tech Center in the southern part of the city with hundreds of major technology firms. You don?t have to live right in the big city unless you want to. There are plenty of good residential areas within a reasonable driving distance to Denver.

Visit Denver, but watch out. You may decide to relocate once you?ve been here! It?s a great place to live.
